It is critical that people who identify within the LGBTQIA+ communities have access to knowledgeable, affirming care providers. In addition to psychotherapy with adult clients, I can provide assessment and documentation for gender affirming medical care and legal gender marker changes for adolescents and adults.

Depression and anxiety can be overwhelming, and sometimes our usual ways of coping aren’t enough. Therapy can provide a space to gain insight into your mental health and learn new strategies for coping to help you move forward in a way that aligns with your unique goals. I integrate cognitive behavioral, psychodynamic, existential and relational approaches to treatment.

As someone with chronic health concerns, I am personally aware of the impacts that an illness or disability can have on every aspect of life. We can process the ways illness has changed things for you, address any medical trauma you may have experienced and learn mindfulness strategies for coping with the physical and emotional pain caused by your health problems.

Current psychological research consistently shows that mindfulness-based skills are incredibly beneficial for our minds and bodies. I work to teach skills that help ground us in the present moment without judgment. There are many ways to integrate mindfulness practices into your daily life, even if the thought of meditating sounds overwhelming.
